South Carolina--Legislature Now in Session

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:

The 2011 South Carolina legislative session is now underway.
Throughout the session, January 10-June 7, HSLDA will be tracking
legislation and scanning bills to determine whether to support or
oppose proposed changes affecting South Carolina homeschoolers.

We are blessed to work with the South Carolina Home Educators
Association (SCHEA) and encourage homeschoolers to support SCHEA
through membership and participation in its annual statewide
convention and curriculum fair. SCHEA is an invaluable partner, and
together we are working to preserve your freedoms.

To learn more about SCHEA and its upcoming annual conference, visit:
http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=13312 .

You can always visit our website at
http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=13313 or contact our office by phone
at 540-338-5600 or email at info@hslda.org with any questions or
concerns!

We greatly value you and your support--it is a privilege to serve you!
If you or someone you know is not a member of HSLDA, will you
consider taking a moment today to join or recommend us and support our
work defending individual families threatened by government officials
and protecting homeschooling freedom for all? Join now:

Very truly yours,

Dewitt T. Black, III

-> Have you ever yelled into the wind, only to hear the sound of your
voice blown back at you?

It's hard to be heard in the midst of a storm. Trying to influence
federal legislation is much like yelling to be heard while
standing in a fierce wind. Yet when 80,000 voices join together,
they become a powerful force that cannot be drowned out.
Join HSLDA to be heard above the tempests that threaten homeschool
freedoms.
