8. New Year's Brings Latest Art Competition

HSLDA's new student art contest asks participants to look to the
Psalms for inspiration. Entries will be accepted beginning January 1.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top five entries in each category, and
the winning artwork will be posted online.

9. Patrick Henry College: Apply Now for Journalism Scholarships

Patrick Henry College is offering aspiring Christian journalism
students the opportunity of a lifetime. These privately funded
scholarships have been created for students with excellent writing
ability and a strong desire to serve society through journalism. The

10. 2011 Bible Bee National Competition Wraps up in Nashville

Over $260,000 in prizes were awarded to the top three contestants in
three age categories. Senior winner Kari Erickson, of Dell Rapids,
South Dakota, took home $100,000; Bethany Xiques, Miami Springs,
Florida, $50,000; and Olivia Davis, Salem, Oregon (Repeat winner),
$25,000.
