====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== New Jersey--A Personal Request from Nancy Plent's Husband Dear HSLDA Members and Friends While working on the S3105 e-lert yesterday, I called Nancy Plent's phone number. I left her a message explaining how much I hoped she and the Unschoolers Network in New Jersey would participate in the task force against S3105 just as she and her organization had participated in earlier task forces. I received a call back from her husband, Malcolm. He said Nancy is in hospice and rapidly nearing the end of her days. Malcolm said that no one has yet stepped up to take a leadership role in the Unschoolers Network. He asked me to pass along a message and tell homeschoolers to please no longer call Nancy about any homeschool issue. Nancy is conscious, but has virtually no ability to communicate with those around her. Malcolm said he would welcome cards, Christmas cards, etc., sent by regular mail to the Plents at 2 Smith Street, Farmingdale, NJ, 07727. He can read these to Nancy to brighten her day.
