====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Private School Affidavit Filing Deadline To All California Members Who Intend to File a Private School Affidavit: It is that time of year again, when private schools in California must file their annual private school affidavit with the California Department of Education. The filing period is October 1 through October 15. If you are enrolled in a private school satellite program (PSP), then this does not apply to you as your PSP will file the private school affidavit on behalf of the school. We have looked at the affidavit, and there are two new questions (No. 41 and No. 42) which are only applicable to schools with six or more students. So those families with five or fewer students can leave these questions blank. You can find detailed instructions on the California page of HSLDA's website, as well as the link to the CDE's website where the affidavit is located. It is an electronic online filing, and there is no fee involved.
