====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Help Us Honor the Constitution this Saturday Dear Members and Friends: In this age of the endless news cycle, constant partisan arguments on Capitol Hill, and an increase in grassroots activism, the way our nation is governed is a subject that is talked about everywhere. From the kitchen table to the water cooler to the pulpit, everyone has an opinion on how things should be done. But sadly, not very many people are referring to the document that established our national government and set up the rules we live by - the Constitution. Generation Joshua and the Home School Legal Defense Association are sponsoring a reading of the Constitution on the Patrick Henry College campus in Purcellville, Virginia this Saturday, September 17. At 10 a.m., families, elected officials, veterans, and local students will gather to take turns as we read through the Constitution and remember the values and ideas by which we should be measuring all laws today. I hope that you will join us this Saturday and help make this event a success. If you can't attend this gathering, then I encourage you to at least take a few minutes to read the Constitution with your family and talk about ways that you can promote and protect that great document.
