====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== HSLDA High School Symposium Sponsored by Greater Roanoke Home Educators (GRHE) Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: The Homeschooling Thru High School Symposium is coming to your area Saturday, October 1, 2011. This event will be held at Calvary Memorial Church, 2226 Colonial Avenue Southwest, Roanoke, VA 24015. Becky Cooke and Diane Kummer, HSLDA high school consultants, will present seminars suitable for parents in the midst of teaching high school at home or thinking about it in the future. The schedule includes: 8:30-9:00 Check in 9:00-10:00 Developing a High School Plan 10:05-11:05 High School Transcript Clinic 11:15-12:15 Important Pit Stops during High School 12:15-1:15 Lunch (on your own) 1:15-2:15 You Can Homeschool High School...If You Can Make It Through Tomorrow! 2:15-2:30 Question and Answer Session Handouts will be provided, and you must pre-register to attend no later than September 20 by calling Priscilla Trice at (540) 483-5307, or emailing omatrice@gmail.com for a registration form. The cost is $8 per person, with a maximum of $15 per family. Lunch will not be provided, but there will be a lunch area for use with your own picnic food, with complimentary coffee, tea, and lemonade. We will also provide directions to any of the fast food restaurants that are close by. Please feel free to contact Priscilla Trice with your questions. Registrations at the door will be $11 per person, with a maximum of $18 per family. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> How long are you in for?
