Teens Learn Leadership, Earn Civics Credit

Dear Parents,

If there is one thing that homeschooling parents know, it is that
children learn in many different ways. Here at Generation Joshua we
have focused on the process of learning by doing. Our iGovern Summer
Leadership Camp is the epitome of this philosophy of education.

At camp, students join a scenario where they participate in a model
U.S. government. The students learn how laws are formed and how
Congress functions by writing and debating bills on the floor of our
mock legislature. The camp features a presidential campaign in which
students must organize their party, go through a primary to determine
candidates, and campaign for their candidate in the general election.
We also host speakers from Focus on the Family and Summit Ministries
throughout the week to teach the students about faith and freedom.
Every aspect of camp is exciting and engaging, and students take
ownership of the republican form of government that we have, and learn
to understand the political climate of our nation, and how to be
strong Christians in politics.

Because our camp is both fun and educational, we are proud to
recommend that our camp be considered a full high school credit of
civics and government for your child's transcript. With over 60 hours
of camp teaching and activities, your children are sure to enjoy our
camp. They will return home with a passion to see good policies take
root in our country.

Registration can be done online and is open until July 15. If you are
an HSLDA member, you can qualify for a $100 discount off of the
standard $600 pricing for camp. Be sure to register soon to avoid a
late registration fee!

What are our iGovern veterans saying about camp?

"It was an amazing learning experience that I wouldn't trade for
anything!" -- Gabrielle, 15

"I learned how to move people and better lead them. I learned how to
better build friendships. I mostly learned that I can't do a thing
without God." -- Nathaniel, 16

"We've been a Liberty Mutual customer for over 12 years. We
called and asked about our HSLDA member discount and they lowered
our premium by approx $95 per year...coincidentally the same
amount as our HSLDA annual membership fee. Thought you'd want to
