Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: On May 26-29, 2011, the Florida Parent-Educators Association (FPEA) Homeschool Convention will be in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms & Resort. This convention is the largest homeschool event on the East Coast and is jam-packed with great homeschool speakers, workshops and a huge vender hall. The early registration deadline is tomorrow. ("Jerry") Boykin with www.kingdomwarriors.net, Chad Hymas (www.chadhymas.com) and Debbie Strayer, co-founder of Homeschooling Today magazine. Scott and Marcia Somerville will also be speaking on several topics during the convention. Scott used to work for HSLDA full-time as a staff attorney and is now of counsel; he helps us as needed. Thomas (Tj) Schmidt, HSLDA staff attorney for Florida, will also be at the HSLDA table (Booth No. 700 in the exhibit hall), so come on by and say "Hi."
