====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== West Virginia: Personal Invitation to Join Me at the CHEWV Homeschool Convention Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: I would like to personally invite you to join me and my good friends Rick and Marilyn Boyer at the Christian Home Educators of West Virginia homeschool convention being held Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, 2011. If you have never been to a CHEWV conference, now is a great time to attend. Rick and Marilyn are homeschool pioneers, parents of 14 children and wonderful people. You'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with them in the wonderful setting CHEWV has selected for this conference. You will feel encouraged and renewed after our time together. I will be offering two different workshop sessions. In "Forging Ahead: Apprenticeships in the 21st Century," I'll provide practical tips and insight about vocational post-secondary options. And if you're at all wondering whether the freedom you have to homeschool today will be there for your children--I have important news for you in my workshop called "Elites to Homeschoolers: 'You're Next.'" Take a moment to let CHEWV know that you're coming by registering at http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=11102 . I hope you will join me, Rick and Marilyn with hundreds of other homeschoolers from all across our great state of West Virginia as we support and mutually encourage one another. You'll find practical resources for your homeschool journey and make new friends. I'll see you there! Michael P. Donnelly, Esq. Your West Virginia Staff Attorney ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> Can you look at the clouds and tell the direction of the wind? An interesting phenomenon of wind is that it can blow in multiple directions at the same time, at different heights from the ground. But usually there is a prevailing wind. HSLDA watches the gusts and monitors the prevailing trends of change in the legal climate of home education. So no matter which way the wind is blowing, we're there to protect your family.
