Overruled

The State Supreme Court has vacated a judge's order which sought the
names and addresses of homeschoolers in a certain district. The
victory protects home educators from the flagrant misuse of judicial
power.

2. New Jersey: Cornell University Asks for GED or State-Approved
Diploma

When a longtime member family had a college question the validity of
the diploma they issued their daughter, HSLDA vouched for them by
pointing to the law.

3. Germany: Authorities Threaten Homeschool Family

A German judge recognized that homeschooling provides quality
education, but still denied a family permission to teach their
children at home.

4. Parental Rights: Shipping WHAT to My Child's Door?

The Philadelphia Department of Health has set up a website offering
prophylactics free by mail to children as young as 11--no parental
knowledge or consent required! ParentalRights.org cites this as one
more reason to protect children by supporting the Parental Rights
Amendment.

Submissions will be accepted beginning May 1 for the 2011 HSLDA
homeschool poetry contest. This year's competition requires students
in all three age categories to compose original ballads inspired by
