====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Mississippi - HSLDA Press Release Regarding Judge's Order Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: To provide you with an update on the case regarding Judge Joe Dale Walker's order requiring attendance officers to disclose the identities of homeschoolers in the Thirteenth District, below is a link to the press release we issued yesterday. We will continue to keep you posted on the development of this case as the Mississippi Supreme Court responds to the pleadings filed on Tuesday of this week by our local counsel, Sharkey Burke. In the meantime, we do not believe it is necessary that any of our members in the Thirteenth District take any action on their own in response to letters sent to homeschoolers by the attendance officers. It is unlikely that any of the attendance officers will comply with Judge Walker's order before a ruling by the Supreme Court. Of course, any homeschooler is free to challenge Judge Walker's order separately from HSLDA's action.
