====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Bring the whole family to the Pacific Homeschool SuperConference Dear Friends: Bring the whole family to the Pacific Homeschool SuperConference and enjoy a weekend of encouragement for both the students and the teachers in your homeschool! There's something for everyone: On Friday (April 8), an evening of free family entertainment will feature musician Dennis Agajanian and comedian Thor Ramsey, with Governor William Bradford of Plymouth Colony (a.k.a. Wayne Hoag) serving as emcee! SuperConference attendees can purchase California's Great America tickets at a $15 discount! Located just across the street from the Santa Clara Convention Center, this theme park features Planet Snoopy and rides for all ages. While Dad and Mom are hearing from inspiring speakers, attending workshops, and browsing over 130 exhibit booths, kids ages 4-11 can "Ride the Waves" at the Children's Convention, hosted by Children's Conferences International. Through skits, stories, games, and other activities, children will learn about discipleship and trusting God. Teens (ages 12-18) can attend The Rebelution Teen Convention, featuring speakers Alex and Brett Harris. In a dynamic presentation, the Harris brothers will introduce attendees to the story and impact of the Rebelution--a growing movement of ordinary young people who are rebelling against low expectations for the glory of God and the good of others. Students will be challenged to "Do Hard Things"--reclaim the teen years' historical and biblical purpose as the launching pad for the rest of life. Other conference highlights: > Keynote speakers Tim and Beverly LaHaye, Michael Farris, and Alex and Brett Harris > Special guest Sharron Angle (2010 U.S. Senate candidate) > State-specific Oregon and Nevada workshops > Straw Poll and Presidential Forum > FREE Introduction to Homeschooling session > Ultimate Giveaway with prizes Register Now! http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=10591 Online registration for the Pacific Homeschool SuperConference ends on Tuesday, April 5. We look forward to seeing you at the Pacific Homeschool SuperConference! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> How long are you in for? Some families are facing what seems like a lifelong commitment to homeschooling, with children at both ends of the spectrum -- some graduating and some just reaching school age. If you're going to be "in" for a while, consider a lifetime membership with HSLDA. It's a good deal for families with more than 10 years of homeschooling ahead.
