====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== GenJ Camp: Fun-filled Leadership Training at a Competitive Price Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Is your politically orientated teenager driving you up the wall? Do they know more about politics, limited government theory, and the current make-up of the House Ways and Means Committee than any normal teen should? Do you wish they were more engaged in the political process of America? If your answer to any of these questions is Yes! then HSLDA's Generation Joshua has an answer for you. To help ensure the future of freedom in America, HSLDA's Generation Joshua hosts two weeklong summer leadership programs called iGovern. iGovern is an extensive and fast-paced immersion program designed to teach leadership and government based on Biblical principles. Students are given the responsibilities of representatives and senators for the week and asked to do everything from write and balance the federal budget to handle foreign policy crises and wrestle with what it means to be a Christian in the political arena. The best part of this opportunity is that members of HSLDA receive a $100 discount off the price of camp, and if you register for the Washington, D.C. iGovern program by March 15 you will receive an additional $50 off. The education and experience iGovern provides have a market value of over one thousand dollars, but Generation Joshua's mission is to assist parents in raising up the next generation of Christian leaders and citizens, so we work hard to make the program as affordable as possible. Generation Joshua brings speakers who are experts in their respective fields to teach; past speakers include Congressman Mike Pence and Congresswomen Michele Bachmann, Summit Ministries Founder Dr. David Nobel, Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, HSLDA co-founder Mike Farris, and President of Concerned Women for America Wendy Wright. Coupled with our professional staff and resident experts, your students are offered a rare and accurate look into the reality of American politics with Christian guidance on how to wrestle with the complex issues that face our nation. Generation Joshua's iGovern East is in Purcellville, Virginia (about an hour from Washington, D.C.) June 5-11, for students 14-17 and is competitively priced at $600. We offer a $100 discount for active/retired military, full-time ministry, or HSLDA members if you have a current HSLDA membership. If you register before March 15 you also qualify for a $50 early registration discount, which brings your total savings to 25%. The iGovern West program is hosted at Eagle Lake Camp which is nestled in the Colorado Rockies above Colorado Springs. iGovern West runs August 14-20, and is open to students 14-19. The price is the same and the $50 early registration discount for registrations extends until May 30. You can register for each at http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=10576 and I urge you to sign up by March 15 if you would like to take advantage of the early registration discount. If you have further questions about iGovern please feel free to contact Camp Director Joel Grewe at (540) 338-8608 or generationjoshua@hslda.org . May God bless you and your family, William A. Estrada, Esq. Director, Generation Joshua IGOVERN: WHAT DID YOU LEARN AND WHY DID YOU COME? "I learned that God can do truly amazing things, even through people who are by no means specially qualified." --Amy, GenJ Counselor "iGovern is one of the best camps in the nation, one of the best weeks you will ever have. You will make friends that will last a lifetime and have experiences you will never forget." --Josh, three-year incumbent ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> What's the shortest distance between two homeschoolers?
