Here's Some More Information! Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: The MACHE Homeschool Conference and Curriculum Fair is coming to your area on April 15-16, 2011. The conference will begin on Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and continue through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event will be held at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC), 350 Harbor Dr, Duluth, MN 55802. Be prepared for outstanding and encouraging speakers, such as Dr. Larry Guthrie, Carol Barnier and Zan Tyler. The conference will offer over 100 workshops, some of which will also appeal to teens, such as those presented by Mike Snavely and Robert Andrews. Two Thursday Special Sessions will be held on April 14 beginning at 12:30 p.m., FirstClass Homeschooling for beginning homeschoolers and HSLDA's Homeschooling Through High School for those who have students entering the junior and senior high grades. In addition, there will be over 200 exhibitors in the exhibit hall, many of whom will offer special discounts to conference attendees. A special gift CD containing coupons and valuable homeschool helps from various national exhibitors will be given to each attending family.
