====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== PHC Job opening--Network Administrator Patrick Henry College, a private non-denominational Christian liberal arts college located in Purcellville, VA is recruiting for an experienced Network Administrator. This individual will report to the Manager of Network Services. We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, detail oriented team player, who will work collaboratively with the other members of the IT department. The Network Administrator's role is to manage the day-to-day operations of the PHC campus network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, optimizing and continually assessing all network appliances and communication links for a LAN, WAN, WLAN, VLAN, and VPN infrastructure with Microsoft and Linux (SuSE) Servers, Cisco and HP Procurve networking devices, as well as assisting in managing network security. Incumbent will also provide senior level support for the campus help desk to include desktop and laptop support as well as establishing written processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience configuring and maintaining the following: * Windows XP/7, Mac OSX, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, IIS and File and Print Services. * Cisco and HP Procurve switches and routers to include VLANs, trunking, spanning tree protocol and routing * Backup and recovery. Experience with Legato Networker a plus! * Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Network Access Control (NAC) Systems * Wireless network controllers and access points * Phone and voice mail systems Experience with VMWare a plus Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field plus a minimum 3-4 year's experience.
