HSLDA: Benefit of the Month--Early Years Help

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:

As a veteran homeschool mom, I remember that it can be overwhelming
when you aren't sure how to begin or which curriculum to choose ... or
maybe you just don't feel that you can handle homeschooling and the
house ... or perhaps you just need a little encouragement to keep

Wouldn't it be great to be able to pick up the phone and talk to
another parent who had been-there-done-that, or to get an email
newsletter filled with tips and suggested resources? Sort of like
roadside assistance along the homeschool journey?

Home School Legal Defense Association is here for you as you embark
upon this incredible adventure. Many of you are familiar with our high
school program and the struggling learner program. But maybe you have
a preschooler or primary student--or perhaps a middle schooler? So
HSLDA introduced The Early Years: Homeschooling Preschool thru Middle
School, with a coordinator dedicated specifically to serving parents
in this season of homeschooling, from toddlers all the way through

I'm here to answer members' specific questions, provide general
information, and offer encouragement in everything from curriculum
choices to scheduling, lesson planning to testing, and resources and
teaching tips for preschool all the way through middle school.

At HSLDA's Early Years webpages , you'll find helpful articles
and resources to equip and encourage you as you determine your
homeschool goals, plan your adventure, and choose the best route to
get there. Consider me your own personal homeschool travel agent!

Check out the many informative and encouraging webinars . And be sure to subscribe
now to our free Early Years email newsletter . Past topics include:

> end-of year assessments
> holidays as homeschool curriculum
> civics for preschool through middle school
> teaching multiple grade levels
> getting the house organized for homeschooling
> the middle school years
> and more!

Please drop me a note or give me a call to let me know how I can best
serve you. And remember--You can homeschool!

-> Extreme makeovers are for extreme circumstances...

Most homeschools don't need an extreme makeover, but there is
something to be said for attention to detail and recognition of
accomplishments. Watch the media and you'll soon see that not
everyone wants home educators and homeschooling to look good.
HSLDA works hard to shed light on the good work of home educators
so it's obvious that we don't need someone "making-over" our
homeschools. Join HSLDA and help us show the world that we're fine
as we are . . . thank you!
