Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, The 2011 West Virginia legislative session is now underway. Throughout the session, January 12-March 12, 2011, HSLDA will be tracking legislation and scanning bills to determine whether to support or oppose proposed changes affecting West Virginia homeschoolers. Specifically, HSLDA will be tracking a Religious Freedom Restoration Act, to be introduced soon, which will provide addition protections for homeschool freedom. Stay tuned for email e-lerts and updates regarding important homeschool legislation. We are blessed to work with the Christian Home Educators of West Virginia (CHEWV), and encourage homeschoolers to support CHEWV through membership and participation in its annual statewide conference and curriculum fair.
