====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Texas: Legislature Now in Session Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, The 2011 Texas legislative session is now underway. Throughout the session, January 11-May 30, 2011, HSLDA will be reviewing introduced bills and tracking legislation to determine whether to support or oppose proposed changes affecting Texas homeschoolers. We are already watching two bills--one imposes a notification requirement to homeschool for certain parents, and the other relates to homeschool students obtaining their driver's licenses. We will keep you updated on the status of these bills and any others of importance through updates on the Texas legislative page of our website (http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=10058) or, if we are requesting action for a particular bill, you will receive an e-lert.
