Throughout this two-year session, HSLDA will continue to work closely with Family Protection Ministries (FPM), our long-term legislative partner and liaison at the State Capitol in California, to identify and address legislation affecting homeschoolers and associated parental rights. In spite of the historic swing in conservative influence demonstrated in the 2010 elections across the nation, California's legislature has come even more strongly under liberal control. We need to be as vigilant as ever in California. We are blessed to be able to work alongside of FPM, with their more than a quarter of a century of experience successfully protecting private homeschooling. We encourage all California's homeschoolers to support FPM with prayer, tax-deductible financial gifts, and by taking FPM's requested actions whenever they send out a Legislative Action Alert. On California homeschool issues, we work closely with them and jointly issue the same alerts. FPM is an invaluable and longtime partner with HSLDA, and together we are working to preserve your freedoms. FPM also serves as legislative consultant to CHEA of California.
