====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== New Hampshire: New Law? No Law? Let's Talk Tomorrow Night! Dear HSLDA Members, Will you join me tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. for a FREE and exclusive panel discussion with legislators and homeschool advocates about proposed changes to the New Hampshire homeschool law? I will moderate a panel which will include: Representative David Bates Representative-elect James Parison, CheNH's most recent past president Catholics United for Home Education President George D'Orazio HEAC Chairman Abbey Lawrence HEAC Member Michael Compitello Former HEAC Vice-Chair Michael Faiella New Hampshire's legislative climate has changed dramatically since HSLDA assigned the state a "red status" because of a hostile legislative climate some months ago. Since November's dramatic election several bills have been filed to drastically change the way homeschoolers in New Hampshire deal with educational authorities. Questions I will ask panelists include: > RSA 193-A has "worked" for 20 years - why is now a good time for change? > What should a new law do? > Should there even be a homeschool law? > What about notice? Should there be any notice to authorities? One-time notice? > What about assessments, due process protection and privacy? > What are the current approaches being considered right now? > What are the pros and cons of these approaches? And more... Don't miss this free e-vent! You will have the opportunity to interact live with me and our guests. Please bring your questions and register today. It is free to register, but space is limited. Register now at: http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=9766 Very Truly Yours, Michael P. Donnelly, Esq.
