====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== HSLDA: Pre-registration Deadline Extended for 2010 Map Your Future! Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Map Your Future--high school, college, and career planning day for 7th-12th grade homeschoolers and their parents, sponsored by the Indiana Foundation for Home Schooling (IFHS), will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 N Girls School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46214. The pre-registration deadline ($30 per family) for this event has been extended to October 15, 2010. After October 15, prices will go up to $45 per family. More than 20 break-out class sessions are scheduled for the event--some for parents and some for teens. Over 25 colleges and other support organizations will participate in the Expo Fair. Also, at 3:30 p.m. there is a meeting for seniors and their parents considering participating in the IFHS 2011 Statewide Graduation Ceremony. HSLDA High School Coordinators Becky Cooke and Diane Kummer will be in attendance, speaking on the following topics: > "Building on a Sure Foundation--Staying the Course through High School," > "Developing a Plan for High School: Sample Four-Year Plans," > "High School Transcript Clinic: Practical Help and Tips," > "You Can Homeschool High School...If You Can Make It Through Tomorrow!" > "Preparing Your Teen for Life." A Chick-fil-A lunch will be available on site. Please order in advance through the registration process. Again, registration is $30 per family if you sign up online by October 15, 2010. Registration at the door will be $45 per family.
