5. Poetry Contest Winners Announced

The results of the 2010 Poetry Contest are now posted. Students were
asked to compose poems in a variety of forms, with themes based on one
of three positive character traits.

6. Last Week For Student Photo Contest Entries

Homeschool students have until August 1 to submit photos in one of
three age groups--each with its own theme. As always, winning photos

7. Deadline Approaching for HSF Christmas Card Contest

Help create the artwork for the Home School Foundation's Christmas
cards that go to widows and single parents who have received
assistance from the Foundation. As in the past few years, HSF is
hosting a special contest which gives homeschool parents and older
teens an opportunity to design the artwork for the greeting card.
Submit art or photos in one of the following categories:

Category 1: Christmas Memories
Category 2: Seasonal beauty of God's Creation
Category 3: Christ's Birth: The First Christmas

Entries must be emailed to contests@hslda.org by midnight on August 1.
