Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Don't forget, the 2010 North Texas Home Educators' Network Conference is coming to your area August 13-14, 2010. This event will be held at the Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, TX 75074. Generation Joshua will be presenting their iElect: Mock Presidential Election Teen Track at this conference. Teens will take part in a mock presidential campaign that includes caucus work, a primary race, voter registration, fundraising, commercials, campaigning, and actual voting. Parents and other conference attendees are involved by registering to vote, donating play money (parents will be provided with the money), and by voting for their favorite candidate.
