HSLDA: 16th Annual Oregon Christian
Home Education Conference Next Week!

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:

If you haven't already made plans to attend the 16th Annual Oregon
Christian Home Education Conference next weekend you are going to miss
out on a blessing! The 2010 conference is filled with great speakers
discussing topics designed to help your family navigate the challenges
of toddlers, early childhood and young adult years. You can also visit
the Exhibit Hall with over 90 exhibitors or the Used Curriculum
Exchange.

For more information about the 2010 Conference on June 25-26:
http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=8531 .

This year the keynote speakers are Rick and Marilyn Boyer who have
homeschooled their children for more than 30 years. The Boyers will
share some of the secrets of looking toward heaven with practical
down-to-earth experience. Other speakers include Dr. Donald Chittick,
Mary Schofield, as well as Joe and Zan Tyler--just to name a few!

For a full list of speakers:
http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=8532 .

The Oregon Christian Home Education Association Network (OCEANetwork)
has done a lot of work to help make your time at the conference
memorable and rewarding. There are suggested sessions organized into
several different categories.

You can find these suggestions here:
http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=8533 .

Attend the convention for FREE! If you, or someone you know, only has
preschool age children and are interested in home education, they
could attend the 2010 Oregon Christian Home Education Conference for
free! To participate, parents must meet the following requirements:

> Oldest child is under 6 years of age.
> Never attended an OCEANetwork Conference before.

You must pre-register for the conference here:
http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=8534

When you come to the OCEANetwork Conference be sure and stop by the
Home School Legal Defense Association table and say "Hi." HSLDA Staff
Attorney Tj Schmidt will be speaking Friday on "Home Education and the
Obama Administration--National Issues Affecting our Freedom."

As a special bonus at the OCEANetwork Conference, we have two special
offers for members:

> Join or renew your membership for one year:
Receive a $10 coupon to use toward your membership (at the conference
only) or for purchasing our materials.

> Join or renew your membership for two years:
Receive a $25 coupon to use toward your membership (at the conference
only) OR receive the Drive Thru History: Greece/Rome DVD for free .

Bring someone to our table who joins at the conference and we'll give
you a $10 coupon for your recommendation--which you can also apply
toward membership (at the conference only) or HSLDA products.

Please note that these offers are only valid at the conference.

Your attendance at the 16th Annual Oregon Christian Home Education
Conference will refresh you and your family in your homeschooling
endeavors while supporting OCEANetwork in their service to the
homeschool community. We hope you plan on attending the Oregon
Convention Center in Portland on June 25-26 for this exciting
homeschool conference, and we look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

Thomas J. (Tj) Schmidt

-> Remember the last time you wrote a term paper?

Research can be grueling-digging through archives, wading through
articles, conducting interviews. But if it's related to
homeschooling, you can relax a little. There's a good chance that
you'll find what you're looking for in HSLDA's bimonthly
Home School Court Report. Providing in-depth, insightful articles
on much of what affects the world of homeschoolers, the
Court Report is a must-read for the serious homeschooler. This
publication is provided free to each HSLDA member.
