====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== HSLDA: Early Registration Deadline for AFHE Home Educator's Convention Next Week! Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: If you are planning on attending the 27th Annual Arizona Home Educators' Convention & Curriculum Fair, the early registration deadline is right around the corner! If you register by June 23, you will save 50% off the price at the door and be able to renew your Arizona Families for Home Education (AFHE) membership all at the same time. You can either mail in your registration form or go online to register. For more information: http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=8526 This year the convention will be held July 23-24 at the Phoenix Convention Center. If you have never been to the AFHE Convention, you don't want to miss a great weekend full of inspiration and encouragement--all about home education. This year the keynote speakers are Michael Farris and Carol Barnier. Other featured speakers are Zan and Joe Tyler, Dianne Craft, Andrew Pudewa, and Adams Andrews. If you, or someone you know, only has preschool-age children and are interested in home education, you could be able to attend the AFHE Convention for free! To participate, parents must meet the following requirements: > Oldest child cannot be older than 5 years of age. > Must have never attended an AFHE homeschool convention before. Send an email to convention@afhe.org to request the special registration form for the Parents of Preschoolers Free Admission program. This is a great way for young families to come to a convention and learn more about parent-led, family-funded, relationship-based home education. Registration by June 23 is required. If you know of a family who might fit these requirements please feel free to forward this information to them. When you come to the AFHE Convention, be sure and stop by the Home School Legal Defense Association table at Booth 709 and say "Hi."
