Would you like them to have the opportunity to further develop their leadership skills and exercise them in a mock political environment? Then consider sending them to iGovern East. iGovern East is a week-long Christian leadership program that gives your teen hands-on experience in dealing with both the legislative and executive branches. Through playing the role of members of Congress, each participant will engage in drafting legislation, lobbying for important issues, debating opponents and defending their position, and possibly running for higher office. They will also be given the task of deciding whether to use diplomacy or military intervention in international relations. iGovern East will take place the week of June 27th-July 3rd on the campus of Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, VA. For West Virginia residents, Patrick Henry College is only a short drive away. -From Charles Town: just over 30 minutes -From Martinsburg: about 1 hour The cost to attend is $550 (includes lodging, food, transportation to and from Dulles International Airport if flying, and a staff led field trip into Washington, DC).
