Home School Foundation Report--March/April 2010
Home School Foundation Report
Friends of the Home School Foundation,
Some new and exciting things are happening here at the Foundation. We
have a new website which will enable us to further help homeschoolers
in need and spread the reach of the Foundation. There are always new
people contacting us for help or to learn how to get involved, and we
are preparing to launch a new volunteer program this summer.
At the same time, we are looking for ways to identify more widows in
need and for additional ways to spread the word about how God is using
HSF to help families homeschool through hard times.
We covet your prayers and thank you for partnering with us in this
Because You Helped
We continually receive letters and notes from homeschooling families
who have been blessed by our grants. Here are just a few notes from
grateful families that testify to the power of your gifts:
I just want to thank the Foundation so much. My son is beginning to
make inroads to his reading and spelling. This would not have been
possible without your financial help. We thank God for the progress he
is making that we previously thought impossible. Thank you.
--Catherine G., Special Needs Children Fund
I want to express our sincere appreciation for your assistance through
the group grant. Our resource center is helping new families on their
homeschool journey find the best curriculum for them and their
children. Thank you for being a part of that. --Shelly N., Group Grant
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank HSF for their support.
You have made our dream a reality during a daunting season. We
continue with your help and the dream that [my husband] felt so
passionate about. --The Sauppes Family, Widows Fund
Thank you for the funds that sent [two homeschool leaders/speakers] to
Norway, Boxnia, and Lithuania. We are constantly being blessed with
the prayers, guidance and encouragement that we receive through their
ministry. We believe we are to teach our children to love the Lord
with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. And we have no other
alternative than homeschooling. Living in the Western European culture
and being raised in a communist country gives little background for
this tremendous task and responsibility (we live in Norway, come from
Lithuania). But the Lord is faithful. He has been providing
encouragement, training and support through His faithful servants.
Thank you! --Gintas J., International Fund
We appreciate the goodness of the Lord's people who are compassionate
and are willing to sacrifice for those families who are struggling to
homeschool. --Victoria P., Widows Fund

Grants We Are Seeking
As a part of our funding efforts, the Foundation seeks grants from
other private foundations whose missions overlap ours. For instance,
we have projects that are primarily educational in nature, and there
are other foundations who share an interest in helping us fund these
projects. Please pray that God will give us favor as we reach out to
other foundations. If you know of foundations that might share our
vision or like-minded foundation board members, please let us know; we
will be delighted to share with them the opportunities for becoming
involved with HSF.
