====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== New Mexico--Last Chance to Register Online for 2010 CAPE-NM Convention! Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Many of you may have already made plans to attend the 2010 Christian Association of Parent Educators of New Mexico (CAPE-NM) Convention from April 22-24 in Albuquerque. If you haven't, there is still time to register online and save yourself a little money. The deadline for the online registration is April 11, so hurry up and do it now! If you have never been to the CAPE-NM Convention, it is a time of fun and fellowship focused on teaching our children at home. Several great speakers will be there to help renew your vision, sharpen your skills, and give you new ideas. Many exhibitors will be there allowing you to examine different curriculum, talk to the vendors, and buy both new and used curriculum. Tracy Klicka and her children will also be at the CAPE-NM Convention with Chris' book Power Perfected in Weakness. As many of you know, Chris Klicka was a passionate defender of homeschooling and the first full-time attorney at HSLDA. Chris was always ready to give testimony of Christ's working in his life, and this book is taken from his journal describing the struggles, adventures, and blessings of the final years and days of his life. Tracy will have a booth at the convention, so please stop by and say "Hi". The Thursday evening general session, "Building Hope...One Story at a Time" with Mark Hamby will be open to the public from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will also feature the New Mexico Home Schools Showcase featuring students from across the state. The convention will be held at the Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque at 4001 Osuna Road Northeast; Albuquerque, NM 87109-4422. While at the convention, please come by the HSLDA table and take advantage of HSLDA's special conference discounts! > If you join or renew your membership at the conference for one year, you'll receive a $10 coupon to use toward your membership (at the conference only) or for purchasing our materials. > If you join or renew at the conference for two years, you'll receive either a $25 coupon to use toward your membership (at the conference only) OR receive the Drive Thru History: Greece/Rome DVD for FREE. Please note that these offers are only valid at the conference. We look forward to seeing you soon at the CAPE-NM Convention! Sincerely, Thomas J. (Tj) Schmidt HSLDA Staff Attorney ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -> Remember the last time you wrote a term paper?
