Consumer Product Safety Commission Update Many homeschoolers were concerned last year when the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued new restrictive rules about lead and chemicals in products. Congress and the CPSC have been working on lessening this burden on small family businesses. An independent organization, Product Safety Letter, has put together a 30-question survey on proposed legislation and is seeking input from small businesses, consumers, and trade organizations. If this issue is of interest to you, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey. The deadline to complete the survey is March 31, 2010. Next week on HSLDA's @home e-vents... Climbing trees, finding bugs, dirty hands used for big hugs--oh, the joys of raising boys! But how do we raise these boys in such a way that they become real men of God? More specifically, how do we raise real men in a culture that is intent on blurring the lines between male and female? On Tuesday, April 6, @ 9:00 p.m. (ET), veteran homeschooling leaders and parents Hal and Melanie Young answer these questions in their @home e-vent, Raising Real Men. The Youngs share how it is more crucial than ever that Christian fathers and mothers make an intentional and counter-cultural move to raise real men to serve God, family, and country in the challenging years ahead. Don't miss your chance to hear Hal and Melanie explain the threat to our boys' masculine identity and the biblical solution--as well as the opportunity to train real leaders for the next generation.
