Wyoming--Compulsory School Attendance Bill Dies--Freedom Prevails!
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,
Thanks to your efforts, LSO 194, the bill that would have changed the
compulsory school attendance age from 16 to 18, has died due to "lack
of motion." It was heard before the Joint Education Committee on
Tuesday, January 19, and no one on the committee made a motion for it
to pass.
HSLDA would like to thank each and every one of you who attended the
hearing, presented testimony, made phone calls, and sent emails. Your
efforts were instrumental in defeating this harmful piece of
legislation.
HSLDA will continue to work together with WyWatch and HOW to keep you
informed of any legislation that would affect your right homeschool.
