Florida: HSLDA Sues Athletic Association On January 13, 2009, Home School Legal Defense Association filed a lawsuit against Florida High School Athletic Association because of its unjustified refusal to allow a homeschool student to play sports for a private school. New Hampshire: Grassroots Activism, National Attention Keys to Lopsided Victory State representatives had to walk a gauntlet of homeschoolers last week as hundreds of families demonstrated in Concord in opposition to proposed draconian regulations of home education. PHC Wins Fourth National Moot Court Championship For the fourth time in six years, Patrick Henry College has won the National ACMA Moot Court Championship. The team captured first and third place team trophies in legal debate against colleges such as Harvard, Baylor, Holy Cross, Syracuse University. PHC also won several individual speaker and legal brief writing awards. The college continues to build its reputation as a legal debate powerhouse, sending its team members to the top law and graduate schools in the country.
