====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== KANSAS--Capitol Rally for Freedom Please come to Topeka on Wednesday, January 20, to take a stand for freedom! The Christian Home Educators Confederation of Kansas (CHECK) is hosting its annual "Day Under the Dome" to strengthen families and encourage lawmakers to protect the freedom to homeschool. Beginning at 9 AM, speakers will address issues of vital importance to homeschoolers. HSLDA Senior Counsel Scott Woodruff will speak at 10:30 AM and 4:00 PM, and participate in a panel presentation at 2:30 PM. A separate teen track will be provided. A reception for Kansas legislators and State Board of Education members will be held at 5 PM. The Verbatim Speech and Debate Club is hosting an optional pizza social from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. There is no charge for the primary events. There is a small charge to participate in the Teen Track, to order a box lunch, and to attend the pizza social.
