HSLDA: Homeschool-Friendly Consultants Needed Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: One of the ways HSLDA offers support to our members who are homeschooling a struggling learner is to assist them in finding a homeschool-friendly professional who can help them meet the needs of their child. In order to offer the best possible resources to these families, we need your help. Over the past 15 years, HSLDA's Special Needs/Struggling Learner Department has maintained a database of consultants, but with many consultants retiring and the needs growing, we want to make sure we are continuing to offer our families a wide array of qualified professionals who can provide services for their child. When members contact our office to request referrals, we use our consultant database to search for consultants who will best suit their needs. Please note that consultants are not employed by HSLDA. However, families can employ them directly. Here is how you can help. Do you know of a homeschool-friendly educational consultant, therapist, tutor, tester, counselor, or educational diagnostician? If so, would you let us know about them? To do so, simply visit our webform at http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=7465 . There, fill in the name and contact information of the consultant and click the "submit" button. You can also forward this email to a consultant so he or she can fill out the form. Or forward it to a friend who has someone else to recommend.
