Registration ends the first day of class, January 4, 2010. The course concludes June 7, 2010. If you've always wanted to learn more about the history and background of our legal system, from a biblical perspective, or if you're looking for a good U.S. government class for your homeschooled students, then this class is for you! This internet-based course follows Michael Farris' textbook, "Constitutional Law for Enlightened Citizens," and uses a computer-based audio CD-ROM to deliver the "classroom" lectures. Live chat-room discussions held every two weeks allow students to pose questions to Dr. Farris. Coming up on HSLDA's @home e-vents... Prepare your heart for the coming year with Zan Tyler! A new year can bring anticipation, excitement, and often some anxiety. In the rush of the season, it is easy for homeschooling moms to become overwhelmed by the task at hand. Scripture tells us to "walk in the light as He is in the light." How do we do that when we feel afraid or overwhelmed or worried about our children's future? How can God's word help when we feel inadequate in our roles as wives, mothers, and teachers? Join author, speaker, and homeschool mom Zan Tyler on Tuesday, December 1, at 9:00 p.m. (ET), as she relates God's promises, and addresses common concerns homeschooling mothers face with each new year. She reminds us that God's Word provides hope, encouragement, motivation, and comfort for every season. As you begin this coming year, Zan will share ways you can make a new commitment to learning and depending on God's Word. There is still space for you to join this e-vent--sign up now to reserve your "seat"! To register, go to http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=7273 .
