Next week on HSLDA's @home e-vents . . . Are you homeschooling a teen and a preschooler--and perhaps even a few ages in between? Do you struggle to teach in such a way that your students can study and learn together? If so, come discover how to teach at least one subject--history--in a way that engages your older students without losing the younger ones' interest! Join us next Tuesday, November 17, at 9:00 p.m. (ET), as homeschooling mother of six, Sherrie Payne, shares how to simplify multi-level teaching, and take "boring" out of history lessons. During this e-vent, Sherrie will draw from her curriculum "Around the World in 180 Days" and show you how to take your students on the adventure of a lifetime! Then, later in the week... Discovering your students' unique learning styles can be an asset to your homeschool program. But often, learning style materials fail to give advice on how to maximize your child's learning potential within those abilities and strengths. How do you teach history so it sticks? What if she can't understand fractions? What if he loves language but hates to write? Join self-acclaimed "Delightful Speaker, Entertaining Author, Adequate Wife, Pitiful Housekeeper" Carol Barnier on Thursday, November 19, at 9:00 p.m. (ET), as she goes beyond learning style labels to answer "What do we do now?" Come away from Carol's refreshing session with lots of ideas you can put to use on Monday morning! There is still space for you to join this e-vent--sign up now to reserve your "seat"! To register, go to http://www.hslda.org/elink.asp?id=7227 . If you have any questions, please contact the @home e-vent coordinator at webinars@hslda.org.
