Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: A historic event is about to occur in Washington. For the first time, American schoolchildren will be competing for a national title in a contest that measures the most important knowledge of all--mastery of the Word of God. To signify the relative importance of knowing God's Word as compared to spelling or geography, the National Bible Bee will award its senior national champion the largest cash prize of any academic competition--$100,000. To make this event a success, it is imperative that we find about 100 additional volunteers who can come to the JW Marriott in downtown Washington, D.C., on either Thursday, November 5 or Friday, November 6. Volunteers will be employed in half-day shifts. Parking expenses can be reimbursed if needed. Please go to the Bible Bee's website for information or to volunteer.
