Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Map Your Future--a high school, college, and career planning day for 7th-12th grade homeschoolers and their parents--will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., October 16, 2009 at Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 N Girls School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46214. The pre-registration deadline ($20 per family) for this event is today, October 13, 2009. After today, prices will go up to $30 per family. HSLDA High School Coordinators Becky Cooke and Diane Kummer will be in attendance, speaking on the following topics: > "Building on a Sure Foundation--Staying the Course through High School," > "Developing a Four-Year Plan," > "High School Transcript Clinic: Practical Help and Tips," > "The College Admissions Process; The Homeschooled Student's Guide," > "Extracurricular Activities to Jazz Up Your High School Program." High school students can talk with college admissions staff and enter for a chance to win one of three $1,000 scholarships provided by USA Funds! Also, the 2010 Statewide Graduation Ceremony meeting will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. A Chick-fil-A lunch will be available on site. Again, registration is $20 per family if you sign up online by today, October 13, 2009. Registration at the door will be $30 per family.
