====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== HSLDA: Michael Farris to Give James Madison Lecture Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: This weekend, in Orange, Virginia, Michael Farris, Chancellor of Patrick Henry College and author of the book "From Tyndale to Madison: How the Death of an English Martyr Led to the American Bill of Rights," will give the 2009 Annual James Madison Lecture. "We are thrilled that Michael Farris is our 2009 James Madison Lecturer," said Helen Marie Taylor, President of the James Madison Museum Board. HSLDA encourages attendance at what should be one of the most thought-provoking discussions of the role of James Madison in the founding of America and the relevance of his work today. The event will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church beginning at 2:30 p.m. this Sunday, September 13. The church is located next door to the James Madison Museum which can be found at 129 Caroline Street, Orange, Virginia 22960. Michael Farris will be available for a book signing and reception at the James Madison Museum, which will follow the lecture.
