====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Rhode Island--Use Caution on Form Dear HSLDA Rhode Island Members: A Letter of Intent form the Johnston Public Schools recently mailed to some member families calls for information that is not required. As an alternative, consider using the HSLDA Letter of Intent form, which does not call for any unnecessary information. It is available to our members and can be found on the members-only section of the HSLDA website at http://members.hslda.org/state/RI/default.asp . According to the policy of Johnston Public Schools, the Letter of Intent is due by August 15. We encourage you to file it by then, if possible. If you have questions regarding your obligations, please refer to our state summary on our website at http://members.hslda.org/laws/default.asp?State=RI or give us a call at (540) 338-5600. We trust you will have a rewarding school year. If we can serve you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our special needs coordinators, our high coordinators, and our early education coordinators are available to assist you with any questions you have concerning the homeschooling of your children.
