Have you ever had an inspiring thought, an ingenious shortcut, or an
"Aha! moment" that you wished you could share with other
homeschoolers? Well, now you can! The Home School Court Report's
Parent to Parent column provides opportunities for homeschooling
parents to relay teaching tips, encouragement, and advice. The topic
for the July/August 2009 issue is "Using sports and games in
teaching." Send us a brief submission of 150 words or less to:

HSLDA
Attn: Parent to Parent
P.O. Box 3000
Purcellville, VA 20134

Or email us, including "Parent to Parent" in the subject line, at
ComDept@hslda.org.
Submissions may be edited for space.

10. Project Manager Position Open

Applications are being accepted for someone to manage joint projects
between HSLDA and Patrick Henry College. The ideal candidate will
have a heart for homeschooling, a desire to facilitate high
achievement, and the ability to create and implement a business plan.
The project manager will report directly to Michael Farris. Salary
depends on experience. A "retired" homeschooling mom might be ideal
for this position. A college degree is desired. Work for this
position must be conducted onsite in Purcellville, VA, and
telecommuting is not an option.

Please email your cover letter and resume to Rachel Kozlowski in the
office of Michael Farris at rachel@hslda.org.

11. 'Home School Heartbeat': A Mother's Day Message

What will your children treasure doing with you? Does all the love and
effort you pour into your family really have a lasting impact? On this
special Mother's Day program, Mike Farris is joined by several
homeschooled students and graduates of various ages who share special
thoughts about their moms.
