====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== Dear HSLDA Members,
How much teaching must parents personally do? Join HSLDA Attorney Scott Woodruff on Thursday, May 7 at 3:00 p.m. ET for a discussion on whether Maryland parents are required to personally provide a certain percentage of their children's homeschool instruction.
A large Maryland public school system recently threatened to find a homeschool program "out of compliance" if the parents personally did less than 80% of the student's instruction.
HSLDA Attorney Scott Woodruff will take your questions and discuss this threat, its impact on families, and a long-range strategy for home educating in the state of Maryland.
During the session, you'll be able to take a look at HSLDA's letter to the school system, their response, and a number of other related documents.
This is a FREE members-only HSLDA e-vent. To register, go to http://www.hslda.org/athome
Standing with you for homeschool freedom,
