New Hampshire--Evaluations and Records
Subcommittee to Meet 10a.m. April 29 in LOB 207

Dear HSLDA Members and Friends,

New Hampshire homeschool leaders are asking for help to cover the five
subcommittees that have been assigned to study New Hampshire's
homeschool law. According to the New Hampshire House Website, the
"Evaluations and Records" subcommittee will meet this Wednesday at 10
a.m. in LOB 207. This committee includes Representatives Philip
Harvey, Barbara Shaw, James O'Neil, Pamela Price, and Karen

We would like to make sure that there are a number of concerned
homeschoolers and other citizens attending each of the subcommittee
meetings in order to record them and post notes to the internet so
that the homeschool community and the public can stay apprised of
these proceedings.

If you are willing to attend and to help cover this or the other FOUR
subcommittees, please arrive early and look for Mary Faiella who will
be coordinating coverage of the committees. As the committees meet
and information becomes available, we will likely be asking you to
take further action.

One homeschool-friendly representative reported that the New Hampshire
House Clerk told him that it is highly unusual for FIVE subcommittees
to be working simultaneously on one bill. It is clear that there is a
desire on the part of some representatives, particularly the Chairman
of the Education Committee Emma Rouse and Representative Judith Day,
author of H.B. 367 and 368, to make changes to New Hampshire's
homeschool law. Thus, your help is greatly needed now to continue to
fight this effort to further regulate New Hampshire homeschools.

Attend the subcommittee meeting if possible, and sign up to assist in
covering the other subcommittee meetings that will occur.

Thank you for your support and willingness to defend homeschool
freedom in New Hampshire!

Very truly yours,

Michael P. Donnelly, Esq.
