To no one's surprise, President Obama plans to ask Congress to spend
billions of dollars on public education. His "Zero to Five Plan"
targets early care, beginning with infants. But funding the Zero to
Five Plan is simply more wasteful spending the country can ill afford.

On March 12, 2009, David Ogden was confirmed by a 65-28 vote in the

The Highlandlers, a group of Georgia homeschoolers, will be taking a
mission team into Europe this summer. They were prompted by the
persecution of American missionary families and German Christians who

8. Enroll in the National Bible Bee Now!

Contestant enrollment for the 2009 National Bible Bee competition is
now open. Many local Bible Bees are starting to fill up, so the Bible

9. Homeschooler Advances in TV Competition

Homeschooled musician Scott MacIntyre remains in the national
spotlight after having advanced to the second round of the finalists'
competition on the television show "American Idol." The gifted singer
and pianist will be one of 11 contestants performing on tonight's show
at 8 p.m. on Fox.
