Tennessee: New Option for Home Instruction The Tennessee Department of Education has decided to recognize enrollment in the distance learning program of an accredited private school as a means of complying with the compulsory attendance law. Arkansas: Compulsory Attendance Age Adjusted On February 20, 2009, the Arkansas General Assembly enacted Senate Bill 295, making a minor change in the compulsory school attendance law. New Hampshire: Committee Votes for Yet Another Study on Homeschooling By a party-line vote, the New Hampshire Education Committee voted to retain H.B. 368 as a "vehicle" to continue studying the homeschool law in New Hampshire. Michigan: Families Told to Fill out Forms or Face Truancy Charges When public school officials tried to insist that member families fill out unnecessary forms, HSLDA reminded them of what the law actually requires.
