====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== February 11, 2009 Nebraska--Homeschool Legislative Day Update Dear HSLDA Members and Friends, On Wednesday, February 18, 2008, the Nebraska Christian Home Educators Association (NCHEA) is sponsoring its third annual Legislative Day at the Capitol. HSLDA Staff Attorney for member affairs in Nebraska, Michael Donnelly, will be in attendance as families from all over Nebraska meet in Lincoln to watch hearings, meet senators, learn about the unicameral and find out how to protect parental rights. The event is free, and family members of all ages are welcome. The NCHEA has extended the registration deadline to Feb. 11 at midnight. Those who have registered for the luncheon need to mail their checks for the luncheon by this Thursday, February 12. Checks should be made payable to the NCHEA and sent to NCHEA Treasurer, Robin Gould, 1655 Harwood St., Lincoln, Nebraska 68502. The NCHEA needs payment as we must pay the caterer for all lunches we order. Legislative districts still needing families to visit their senators are 5, 8, 12, 15, 17, 22, 33, 35, 36, 40, 42, 43, 47, 48, and 49.
