Oregon--Please Help with New Homeschool Study
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:
HSLDA is working with Dr. Brian Ray of the National Home Education
Research Institute (NHERI) and OCEANetwork on two new studies
concerning the academic performance of homeschoolers.
HSLDA has helped sponsor similar studies in the past, and they have
proven to be a powerful force demonstrating that homeschooling works
to lawmakers, the public, and the media.
The new studies will go a long way to help preserve, protect and
promote homeschooling in Oregon.
But we need your involvement! If you gave your homeschooled children a
standardized achievement test between January and August of 2008 (for
example, Iowa Test of Basic Skills, California Achievement Test,
Stanford Achievement Test, etc.), please participate. One study covers
the nation; the other is Oregon specific.
But you will only need to fill out one survey to participate in both
studies.
