====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== June 2, 2008 District of Columbia--Your Attendance Needed at SBOE Work Session to Show Support for Homeschool Freedom Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: The D.C. State Board of Education is having a working session this Wednesday, June 4, and homeschooling is one of the two topics planned for discussion. Your presence is needed to remind the State Board of Education (SBOE) that homeschoolers in the District are paying attention and are willing to do what is necessary to preserve their freedom. Anyone may attend the work session as an observer, but no one from the public is allowed to publically speak. The meeting was originally scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m., but due to another specially scheduled meeting, the work session will not start until 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. ACTION REQUESTED Attend the SBOE working session this Wednesday, June 4, at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be held on the 11th floor of the building at 441 4th Street, NW, One Judiciary Square in Washington D.C.
