Minnesota--Legislation to Advance Freedom by Removing Quarterly Report Submission Requirement
Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:
Good news--Minnesota is taking another step toward more homeschooling freedom! Two bills that remove the requirement for non-credentialed parent-instructors to submit quarterly reports have passed in their respective sides of the legislature.
The bills (Senate File 3001 and House File 3316) are now on their way to a conference committee (a committee of House and Senate members appointed to resolve differences between versions of similar House and Senate bills), where members will work to produce one final version.
HSLDA and MACHE (Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators) continue to work with the bills' sponsors and committees to prevent harmful amendments during this process. At this time, no action is needed, but we will continue to keep you updated.
For more information on these bills, see http://www.hslda.org/legislation/state/MN/default.asp
Thank you for your support of homeschooling freedom.
Sincerely,
Michael P. Donnelly, Esq. HSLDA Staff Attorney

We don't know! But we do know that gathering little by little enables ordinary folks to prepare for hard times. That principle is behind HSLDA's payment plan: by paying a month at a time, families can receive an annual HSLDA membership. Meanwhile, they can feel secure as they homeschool and focus on other priorities -- their children. Don't go nuts trying to pay for membership all at once. Choose one of our convenient payment plans.
