====================================================================== From the HSLDA E-lert Service... ====================================================================== HSLDA--Constitutional Law Symposium Coming to San Antonio Feb. 25-29, 2008 Dear HSLDA Members and Friends: Join Home School Legal Defense Association Chairman Mike Farris for a week-long Constitutional Law Symposium titled "Regaining the Founders' Vision." This symposium, intended for high school students 14 years old and older, is based on the largely popular constitutional law summer camp held at Patrick Henry College. Over the course of the week, Feb. 25-29, Dr. Farris will teach students how to analyze and use the original intent of the Constitution, specifically addressing several areas of importance including: The Supremacy of the Constitution Presidential Power Congressional Power Power of the Judiciary Roe v. Wade & other Moral Questions Establishment of Religion Free Exercise of Religion Property Rights & Other Current Issues Freedom of Association Designed to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders, this symposium covers material that can count towards a high school semester's work. Each day will include teaching during the morning session with student assignments in the afternoon. At the end of the week, students will take home a final exam to be graded by Dr. Farris and sent back to them. Registration is $250 per student, which includes Dr. Farris' Constitutional Law textbook for high school students.
