-> "I saved my entire membership fee with one discount"

"When I called Liberty to find out what kind of discount we could
get, they told us we would 10% off our car insurance and 5% off
our homeowner's insurance. What we will save is more than double
what it costs to join HSLDA. With one child getting his driver's
license this year, the savings will be a real blessing!"

1. New Jersey College: 'Your Diploma was Printed and Signed by Your
Parents'

A homeschool graduate turned to Home School Legal Defense Association
for help when a college admissions officer questioned the legitimacy

4. HSLDA Art Contest Now Accepting Entries

From now through February 1, HSLDA is seeking original, hand-done
works for our 2008 Art Contest. This year, we're asking homeschooled
students to create images inspired by the following quotes from
American authors:

Category 1 (students ages 7-11): "What we have once enjoyed we can
never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." --Helen
Keller
Category 2 (students ages 12-15): "Humility, like darkness, reveals
the heavenly lights." --Henry David Thoreau
Category 3 (students ages 16-19): "A moment's insight is sometimes
worth a life's experience." --Oliver Wendell Holmes

Be sure to read our instructions on how to submit your entry:

Farris. The class begins January 7, 2008, and concludes June 2, 2008.

This 18-week Internet-based course follows Farris' textbook,
"Constitutional Law for Enlightened Citizens," and uses an MP3 CD to
